Karla Ornelas FNP-C, DNM-S

Karla Ornelas graduated with international honors Sigma Theta Tau from Texas A&M
University — Corpus Christy College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2010 as a
family Nurse Practitioner. Since receiving her master’s in nursing, she has been working
successfully in pain management. Ornelas began her career in Texas in orthopedic
surgery.

Working as a functional medicine provider in pain management Ornelas’s diverse
experience enables her to treat and manage patients who have pain pumps, spinal
simulators, as well as using alternative and complementary treatments for chronic pain.
Ornelas finds working with allopathic and natural medicine combined, gives her unique
skills to provide patients with diverse options for reducing pain and promote improved functionality.

Her Areas of treatment specialties include but not limited to axial spine pain,
autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, occipital neuralgia, complex regional pain
syndrome, naturopathic medicine techniques, and injection therapies.

Ornelas is currently enrolled at the University of Natural Medicine in Santa Fe New
Mexico, obtaining a dual doctorate in Natural and Naturopathic Medicine.

Passion for healing is the main driver of Ornelas as she pursues excellence in the area
of pain management for the best outcomes for her patient population.
